The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine announced the beginning of beta testing of a new function in the “Diya” application – electronic certificates of marriage, divorce and name change.
About this informs Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
It is noted that the innovation will greatly simplify the life of Ukrainians, as it will no longer be necessary to carry paper certificates. Electronic versions of documents can be used for employment, confirmation of change of surname or name, registration of benefits and other situations.
“Soon you will not have to carry paper certificates with you, they will always be at hand. When you get a job, confirm a change of surname, first name or apply for benefits, when you receive a package for your spouse at Ukrposhta, – noted Fedorov.
In addition, “Diya” will automatically pull up a child’s birth certificate by tax number, which will solve the problem with displaying the document after the mother changes her last name. Birth certificates will also be available even for adult children.
The Ministry of Digitization invites everyone to participate in the beta testing of the new function and share their impressions. To participate, it is necessary to have documents registered in the State register of acts of civil status of citizens.
