US President Donald Trump said that Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Vladimir Putin are ready to conclude an armistice agreement. That’s what he’s about reported to journalists during the flight from Washington to Miami.
According to Trump, there is already some progress in the negotiations regarding the situation in Ukraine. He also expressed his belief that Europe failed to achieve a positive result in relations with Putin.
“He’s ready to make a deal”, — said Trump, referring to Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
Trump noted that he spoke with the Ukrainian president “not so long ago.”
“And I think Putin is ready to make a deal.” he added.
When asked about the visit of Putin’s representative Kirill Dmitriev to the USA, Trump replied that he does not comment on specific individuals.
“I’ll just say that there are currently very good talks on the subject of Ukraine – Russia”, Trump summed up.
We will remind that in March the USA organized a series of negotiations with the participation of the delegations of Ukraine and Russia. Washington acted as a mediator and offered a 30-day ceasefire. As a result of these meetings, joint statements of the USA and Ukraine were made public. Russia also published a separate statement in which a number of conditions regarding the truce at sea were announced.
