Ukraine’s border with Romania and Hungary in Transcarpathia will be closely monitored with the involvement of additional forces of border guards. About this informs press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
“Border guards strengthened the most vulnerable areas on the border with Romania and Hungary”, – says the message.
The DPSU noted that additional units were involved in the protection of the state border in Zakarpattia Oblast.
“During patrols, DPSU servicemen will use modern automobile and special equipment, unmanned and piloted aircraft, as well as other special vehicles. This will allow more effective countermeasures against offenses and quick response to threats.”, — the department explained.
At the same time, attempts to illegally cross the border outside checkpoints are recorded almost every day. Most often, men of military age try to get to neighboring countries through the Carpathians, forests and even rivers.
In particular, in the spring and summer of last year, border guards repeatedly recorded attempts to cross the state border through the Tisza River, which often ended tragically.
