Ukraine to launch new grant program for affected businesses

The Government of Ukraine is preparing a new program of grant support for enterprises affected by hostilities. About this reported the first deputy prime minister is the Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.
“Daily attacks by the Russians are destroying the economy. Resources are needed to restore enterprises, so the government is launching a new grant, which is called – for restoration. Those affected by the destruction of enterprises will be able to receive up to UAH 16 million, which will help them return to work.” – explained Svyridenko.
The maximum amount of assistance will reach 16 million hryvnias, but it will not exceed the actual amount of damages. Both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs can apply if their production facilities have been damaged. The grant will be used to purchase new equipment, as well as to pay for its transportation and installation.
To participate in the program, the applicant must provide a business plan, a documentary assessment of damages and an extract from the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations. If the enterprise has already received a grant for processing, it can be submitted again, but the new amount will be reduced by the previously received amount.
Among the key requirements are the creation of at least five new jobs and the payment of taxes on the amount of the grant within three years, including 20% in the form of a single social contribution from new employees. Enterprises with overdue loans, those involved in criminal cases, companies linked to an aggressor country, or those subject to sanctions will not be able to receive financing. Applications will be considered by the Ministry of Economy and the State Employment Service.
