Ukraine to receive missiles from Estonia to test air defence systems

Ukraine will receive missiles for air defence systems from an Estonian company designed to destroy drones. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General Anatoliy Klochko, met with the management of the Estonian company Frankenburg Technologies in Kyiv. During the talks, the parties agreed that Ukraine will receive samples of air defence missiles for testing. The first batches will be delivered within a few months. These missiles are capable of shooting down drones at an altitude of up to 2 kilometres.

Kusti Salm, Director of Frankenburg Technologies, noted that if the tests are successfully completed and their effectiveness is positively assessed, the production of these missiles could be deployed in Ukraine.

They also discussed the possibility of defining a financing format for future missile production.

The Deputy Minister of Defence called on international manufacturers to allow Ukraine to test weapons in combat.

Ukraine has stepped up arms production during the war and is expanding cooperation with foreign partners. In particular, the German defence concern Rheinmetall will build four factories in Ukraine, one of which is already in operation. In addition, Ukrainian weapons are produced in partner countries to ensure their safety.
