Ukraine will receive $454 million from the World Bank for the development of medicine

Ukraine will receive financial aid in the amount of 454 million dollars from the World Bank, which will be aimed at improving the health care system. This initiative is implemented within the framework of the THRIVE project, which aims to modernize the medical industry under martial law. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

These funds, which come with the support of the Japanese government, the World Bank and the URTF, will be used to finance the health guarantee program, as well as to improve the efficiency of health services. The main focus is on ensuring access to quality medical care, even in the difficult conditions caused by war.

According to Shmyhal, the THRIVE project is part of global international aid to Ukraine, which is aimed at supporting various sectors affected by the consequences of Russian aggression. He thanked international partners for their prompt and important assistance, which contributes to the stability and development of the country’s key industries.

The goal of the project is not only financial support, but also structural changes in the health care system. The reform covers the modernization of medical institutions, ensuring the sustainability of the industry and improving the quality of medical services for citizens in emergency situations. Thus, this project will be an important step in creating an effective and modern medical system in Ukraine.
