More than 50,000 Ukrainians received funds for housing under the “eRecovery” program
Ukrainians have already received over 11 billion hryvnias of budget funds for the repair of damaged housing or the purchase of new houses or apartments. In general, more than 57,000 Ukrainians have already taken advantage of the opportunity to receive compensation for housing damaged as a result of hostilities.
Up to 500,000 hryvnias for a new home
The program has been in effect for a year – it was launched in May 2013. The maximum amount that can be received for the repair of a damaged home is 200,000 hryvnias. If the house cannot be restored, citizens can receive compensation from 9 to 500,000 hryvnias) for the purchase of a new home.
The service can be used not only for the restoration of residential premises – business owners can also receive compensation for the reconstruction of damaged real estate.
“Similar services do not exist in any of the countries, so our experience is completely unique. The service “is Restoration” is very easy for the user, but at the same time dozens of processes take place on the back end – data from the Register of damaged and destroyed property is pulled, data in other registers is checked, work is carried out commissions on the ground, etc. We managed to launch a convenient and accessible service for Ukrainians, which, thanks to digital tools, ensures maximum transparency of processes and minimizes any corruption risks,” the Minister of Digital Transformation notes Mykhailo Fedorov.
How to get compensation?
Detailed instructions on how to use the “eRecovery” service are posted on the portal Action. For example, if you want to get money for repairs, you need:
- submit an application for the Damaged property service in the Diya application;
- open an “eRenovation” account in the bank;
- submit an application for payment through Diya;
- to allow an inspection of the property to determine the amount of compensation by the local authority commission;
- wait for the entry of the decision in the Register of damaged and destroyed property;
- get money on the “eRecovery” card;
- submit a report on the funds used.
Importantly:
- only those who have not yet repaired the housing on their own receive funds, as this makes it impossible to assess the extent of the destruction;
- you can spend money from an account opened under the program only on a certain category of goods in the list of stores and companies participating in the program.
If the housing cannot be restored, it is possible to obtain funds for the purchase or construction of a new one. For this, the following conditions must be met:
- submit a report about destroyed property in the “Action” application or portal;
- submit an application for payment for destroyed property in the application;
- wait for the certificate;
- in the “Action” application, submit an application for the reservation of funds by certificate and wait for confirmation of the reservation;
- conclude an agreement with a notary, after which the reserved funds will be transferred to the account of the property seller.
