Ukrainian drone “AIR” adapted to destroy Russian “Gerber” in the air

Ukrainian company “General Chereshnya” reported about the successful modernization of the “AIR” interceptor drone for effective countermeasures against “Gerber” drones — Russian analogues of the Shahed-136.

“Gerbers” are used to overload Ukrainian air defenses, carry out reconnaissance and carry out strikes. Due to the peculiarities of the design, these drones are difficult to detect by radars, and they are also characterized by high maneuverability, which makes it difficult to intercept them.

The company emphasizes that the use of limited resources of expensive missiles for mass drone attacks is ineffective, therefore “General Chereshnya AIR” offers a mobile and economically feasible alternative.

“We realize that mass attacks by enemy drones are our new reality, so we are developing solutions that allow us to counter the enemy many times cheaper. The destruction of Gerbera is another confirmation that we are moving in the right direction.” — noted Rudolph Hakopyan, director of strategic communications of the General Chereshnya company.

The drone has already received codification from the Ministry of Defense and is allowed to operate in the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which confirms its practical value in combat conditions.
