Ukrainian MPs doubled their incomes last year.

The aggregate income of 387 people’s deputies for 2024 reached UAH 7.1 billion — this is almost twice as much as in 2023. The average salary of deputies increased by 13%. About this are reported analysts of the YouControl platform, who analyzed deputy declarations for 2023 and 2024.

Incomes increased in 268 parliamentarians, the average rate of increase was 28%. However, the distribution was uneven: for some deputies, the increase was insignificant, and for some, the income increased more than tenfold.

Vadym Stolar (+94%), Igor Palytsa (+87%) and Ivan Chaykivskyi (+87%) recorded the greatest increase in income in 2024 compared to 2023. The average annual salary of people’s deputies in 2024 was about 747,000. UAH, which is 13% more than in the previous year.

The highest salary was declared by Anatoly Ostapenko from the “Servant of the People” faction — UAH 1.6 million. His salary more than doubled the figure for 2023. The total monetary assets of deputies in 2024 reached UAH 14.8 billion, which is 3 billion more than a year earlier.

More than 36% of this amount (5.4 billion UAH) belongs to ex-president Petro Poroshenko. Thus, the “European Solidarity” faction has the largest amount of monetary assets among all factions and groups. The second place is occupied by “Servant of the People” — UAH 2.16 billion. Within this faction, Oleksandr Sova (245.1 million UAH) and Oleg Seminskyi (162.4 million UAH) declared the largest assets.

Members of the “Restoration of Ukraine” group declared almost UAH 2 billion, more than half of which are the assets of Vadym Stolar. The “Platform for Life and Peace” group declared UAH 1.6 billion. The largest sums go to Grigory Surkis (631.7 million UAH) and Vitaly Bort (397.2 million UAH). Deputies of the “Voice” faction declared the least amount of monetary assets — UAH 124 million.
