Ukrainian sports and entertainment companies increased revenues by 10%

During the year, the leading sports and entertainment companies of Ukraine earned a total of UAH 3.47 billion, which is 10% more than last year. At the same time, only three companies managed to make a profit, totaling 6.49 million hryvnias, while the rest suffered cumulative losses in the amount of 1.11 billion hryvnias. Five football clubs, two chains of sports clubs and two entertainment complexes were included in the top ten. Despite the fact that the income of FC “Dynamo Kyiv” fell by 1.7 times, it topped the rating with an indicator of UAH 13.65 million. However, the club, which belongs to the group of Surkis brothers, ended the year with a loss of UAH 784.07 million, while in 2023 it had a profit of UAH 345.67 million.

The second and third places were the companies connected with the Sport Life network. The enterprises “Sport Life Kyiv-1” (owner Tetyana Podrezova) and “Sport Life Kyiv-6” (owner Larisa Pakhomova) increased their income by 1.5 times — to UAH 545.8 million and UAH 377.56 million, respectively.

The fourth position was taken by FC “Kryvbas” with an income of UAH 287.12 million, which is 1.6 times higher than the figure of the previous year. The club’s losses decreased 3.4 times — to UAH 1.1 million. The fifth place was taken by the company “Thermal Furdo”, which manages thermal resorts in Kosin. Its income decreased by 16% to UAH 272.76 million, but losses decreased eightfold to UAH 6.47 million.

FC “Polissya” from Zhytomyr Region, owned by the co-owner of ATB Gennady Butkevich, entered the rating for the first time and took the sixth place. Its income quadrupled to UAH 266.8 million, but losses almost doubled to UAH 256 million. Seventh place was taken by the Apollo Next network, which is controlled by Fozzy Group CEO Volodymyr Kostelman. Its income doubled to UAH 234 million, although the company suffered a loss of UAH 6.9 million. For comparison, in 2023, Apollo Next had a profit of UAH 12 million.

The entertainment center “Neopolis”, located in the Respublika Park shopping center in Kyiv and owned by Vitaly Khomutynnik, was in the eighth position. Its income increased by 24% to UAH 197.51 million, and losses decreased by 14% to UAH 46.96 million.

FC LNZ from Cherkassy, ​​which is part of the LNZ Group, showed a revenue of UAH 188.64 million, which is 6.4 times more than in 2023. The company made a profit of UAH 3.27 million, becoming the only football club with a profit in the rating. Rinat Akhmetov’s “Shakhtar-Service” company closes the top ten with an income of UAH 182 million. Its losses decreased by 3.3 times — to 7.4 million hryvnias.
