Ukrenergo refuted fake forecasts about blackouts

Ukrenergo denied false information about possible power outages due to cold weather. About this reported the press service of the company.

“Individual mass media and Telegram channels today disseminated information about the existence of a threat of forced power outages next week. In these reports, the source of the threat was called the “significant cooling predicted by forecasters in the entire territory of Ukraine.”

NEC “Ukrenergo” refutes such information, because currently there are no forecasts regarding the limitation of electricity supply. The predicted level of temperature decrease will not cause significant problems and will not necessitate the application of restriction measures. The situation in the energy system of Ukraine remains stable. Energy engineers are working out all scenarios, in particular, in the event of a sharp drop in air temperature.”, says the message.

Ukrenergo noted that the only reason for the introduction of emergency shutdowns could be damage to the energy infrastructure as a result of Russian attacks. The company urged citizens to trust only official sources of information and listen to the recommendations of energy experts.
