Stoltenberg said that NATO countries did not send the promised military aid to Ukraine

NATO countries have not provided promised military aid to Ukraine in recent months, stated Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a speech at the event of the non-profit organization “Atlantic Bridge” in Germany,

He emphasized that in order to strengthen the Alliance, it is necessary to strengthen NATO member states, cooperate with partners around the world, and increase aid to Ukraine.

We must be honest, because the reality is that in recent months NATO allies have not provided the promised support to Ukraine“.

The NATO Secretary General recalled that for months the USA “was unable” to agree on a new aid package for Ukraine, and the supply of ammunition from Europe is much lower than the promised level.

According to Stoltenberg, the delay in arms was not without consequences – Russia has moved forward. He also pointed out that the lack of air defenses led to the fact that Russian missiles and drones began to hit targets more often. At the same time, the lack of ammunition for high-precision strikes deep into the Russians allowed them to concentrate more forces on the front.

“But it is not too late for Ukraine to win because additional support is coming“, – emphasized Stoltenberg.
