Ukrzaliznytsia has changed the format of its tickets, eliminating duplication of information in Russian

“Ukrzaliznytsia” has updated the design of railway tickets, removing duplication of information in Russian. About this reported Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Timur Tkachenko in his Telegram channel.

According to him, information on tickets is now duplicated only in Ukrainian and English. This step is part of a larger process of adaptation to European service standards and integration into the international space. As Tkachenko noted, the use of the English language makes the services of “Ukrzaliznytsia” more convenient for foreign passengers, and also emphasizes the role of the Ukrainian language as the only state language.

The deputy minister added a photo of the new ticket to his message, noting that it is only a preliminary version, and the design will be improved in the future.

“Abandoning dubbing in Russian is not only a symbolic, but also a practical step to establish the Ukrainian language as the only state language. The use of English promotes integration into the international space, improves convenience for foreign passengers and demonstrates European standards service”, – wrote the deputy minister.

In addition, Tkachenko spoke about the approval of new forms of documents that will be used for printing tickets at self-service terminals. This decision is aimed at expanding opportunities for passengers and introducing new services in railway transport.

The deputy minister emphasized that the rejection of the Russian language in official documents is not only a symbolic gesture, but also a practical step to strengthen the position of the Ukrainian language in all spheres of life, as well as a demonstration of Ukraine’s readiness to meet modern international standards.
