“Ukrzaliznytsia” cancels the requirement regarding the railway destination of products during procurement and significantly reduces the list of goods that are subject to inspector control. About this informs UZ press office.
“The board of the company decided to no longer apply the requirements regarding the railway purpose of products in purchases and significantly limited the list of product nomenclature subject to inspection control”, – says the message.
The company noted that for many years, about a quarter of the range purchased by the company was labeled “railway products”. This required a special procedure for production and made it much more difficult for most manufacturers and suppliers to participate in tenders. It also created significant corruption risks. Now the list of goods that will be subject to inspection control has been reduced to 47 items.
“And only this list will be subject to the need to put it into production. These requirements will no longer apply to all other nomenclature.”, – explained Oleksandr Nakhod, director of procurement of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
According to him, it significantly simplifies participation in the company’s tender procedures for many suppliers:
“In fact, for the vast majority of positions, we have moved the stage of quality control from the qualification of participants to the stage of delivery, since we are primarily interested in the quality of the products delivered to us, not the certificates that artificially limited competition.”
