Umerov presented a separate vertical of the Ministry of Defense, which will be responsible for aviation

Rustem Umyerov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine reported on the creation of a new vertical within the structure of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, which will be solely responsible for the development of aviation.
“Our goal is to increase the effectiveness of the existing platforms and master new technologies that will give Ukraine an advantage in the sky. We already have the F-16s, which have proven their effectiveness, as well as the French Mirage. This is just the beginning, and we will develop this direction further.” – Umerov explained.
The Minister reported that today, in agreement with the President of Ukraine, he signed an order on the appointment of Major General Oleksiy Marchenko to the post of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Serhii Golubtsov to the position of Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Colonel Oleksandr Dyakiv to the position of Aviation Commander and Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
