US to analyze aid provided to Ukraine to identify possible embezzlement

The US plans to conduct an analysis of the aid provided to Ukraine in order to identify possible abuses or misappropriation of resources. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a speech in Parliament, informs Reuters.
“Obviously, all of our aid is going to be reviewed. We have inspectors general, we have a special inspector general on this issue that will look at all of this spending, and if we ever find misappropriation or manipulation, we will certainly address it.” Rubio said.
According to him, the main goal remains the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine.
“I think the bigger point, and it’s the one you’re making, is that we’ve given Ukraine emergency aid, but this war has to end now. There’s no military solution to this war. It’s only going to end with a negotiated settlement, and the sooner it ends, the less people will die, the less money will be spent, and the less destruction there will be. And that’s the president’s top priority – to end the war once and for all.” – emphasized Rubio.
The Secretary of State also emphasized the importance of focusing on the national interests of the United States, stressing that the country “is no longer capable of solving all the world’s problems.”
