Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the State Budget for 2025: UAH 2.23 trillion was allocated to finance the Security and Defense Forces

On November 28, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the law on the State Budget for 2025. About this reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to the State Budget, the main priority remains the defense of the country. UAH 2.23 trillion is provided for the financing of the Security and Defense Forces, as well as for the purchase and production of weapons, drones and equipment.
In addition, UAH 420.9 billion is planned for social protection, UAH 217 billion for health care, and UAH 199 billion for education. As Shmyhal noted, total budget expenditures for 2025 will amount to UAH 3.6 trillion, while revenues are expected at the level of UAH 2.05 trillion.
“We will confidently pass the next financial year, thanks to the coordination between the branches of government and the support of international partners”, – emphasized the Prime Minister.
In 2025, social standards, in particular the minimum wage (8,000 UAH) and pension (2,361 UAH), will remain unchanged. According to Roksolana Pidlasa, the head of the parliamentary budget committee, the expenses for these indicators in the draft budget have been kept at the level of the previous year. This may lead to a decrease in the real purchasing power of citizens, as the projected inflation rate is 9.5%.
