Volodymyr Zelenskyy discusses North Korea’s participation in the war and strengthening sanctions against Russia with Japanese Foreign Minister (video)

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Takeshi Iwaya, about what reported in his address on November 16. He emphasized that this visit was Iwai’s first working trip after the appointment of the new Japanese government.
Zelensky thanked Japan for its significant support, noting that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Tokyo has provided Ukraine with aid in the total amount of 12 billion dollars.
“We discussed that North Korea is now an accomplice of Russia and is helping Putin in his war against Ukraine. I informed the Japanese minister about the activity of the North Korean military in Kurshchyna and the threats arising from the cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow. Russia is transferring modern warfare skills to North Korea, which could cause significant destabilization in the region. We must join forces with our partners to counter this threat“, the President of Ukraine noted.

We are also preparing for a conversation with the new Prime Minister of Japan“, Zelensky added.
