The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, during a working visit to Zaporizhzhia, held a meeting of the Staff, the main topics of which were air defense and stabilization of the front line. That’s what he’s about reported in his evening video message
“Today, a lot of attention was paid to Zaporizhzhia: they analyzed the security situation, strengthening the defense of the sky. The meeting of the Stavka took place right here, focusing on the issues of air defense, stabilization of the front and the achievement of key security tasks. We need real peace, and for this we must be strong. Every day has bring us closer to peace” – said Zelensky.
As part of the visit, the president visited the first modern school in the region that works in a shelter.
“It is safe. A thousand children can study. And thanks to this, third-graders, second-graders and the smallest children were able to study together. Together, offline, so that all social skills are there. This is very important – so that the war does not take away from children the chance to become successful adults. We build other such schools in the frontline regions and in the Zaporizhzhia region in particular. We will talk with our partners already next week – for the sake of more air defense, for the sake of faster peace.”, he emphasized.
In addition, the head of state visited the Zaporizhzhia region in a unique underground advanced surgical group. He also met with the military to discuss the current situation at the front and the prospects for further action.
