Zaporizhzhia NPP is again on the verge of blackout: Ministry of Energy

On December 20, due to repeated shelling by the Russian military, one of the two power transmission lines connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant with the unified energy system of Ukraine was disconnected again.
About this reported Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
“Today, once again due to enemy shelling, the Zaporizhzhia NPP remained on the same power line with the Ukrainian power system. Energy workers will begin restoring the ZNPP power line as soon as the security situation allows. Safe operation of the ZNPP is possible only under the control of Ukraine.” – Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko noted.
We remind you that in November, due to shelling by Russian troops, the station was left with power on only one line three times, which posed a constant threat to the stability and safety of the facility’s operation.
Zaporizhzhia NPP, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, continues to operate under constant risks due to the Russian occupation. The Ukrainian side has repeatedly called on the international community and relevant organizations to increase pressure on Russia to ensure safety at the facility and prevent a nuclear disaster.
