Zelensky told about plans for the next Ramstein meeting

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated the need to define clear steps to increase pressure on Russia during the upcoming meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, which will be held in the Ramstein format in October in Germany. He made a corresponding statement did in his evening address.

“In a week and a half, in October at Ramstein, we have to decide together with other leaders about joint steps and a common vision, how to increase the pressure on Russia for this war and for the sake of peace. A just peace.”, — emphasized Zelensky.

The President also emphasized that during his recent visit to the USA, the Ukrainian position was reported in detail to the American partners. Ukraine is already actively preparing for the meeting in Ramstein, where, together with its allies, it will consider the next steps to achieve victory in the war.

According to US President Joe Biden, the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine will take place at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany in October and will be held at the level of the leaders of the countries. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the key points of Ukraine’s victory plan are planned to be discussed at the meeting.

During his visit to the US on September 26, Zelenskyi also held a meeting with US President Joe Biden at the White House, where he discussed the plan for Ukraine’s victory. In addition, during the meeting with Zelenskyi, the candidate for the presidency of the USA, Kamala Harris, expressed a strong objection to any decisions regarding the war that do not take into account the position of Ukraine, emphasizing the inadmissibility of proposals to give up part of the territory in favor of Russia.

The following day, on September 27, Zelenskyi held a meeting in New York with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, continuing active diplomatic efforts to bolster international support for Ukraine in its war against Russia.
