During the meeting of the G7 countries, Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to Donald Trump to continue aid to Ukraine. He noted, that Ukrainians are concerned about further support from the US.
“Mr. President Trump, we would really like to hear from you because all of our people, all of our families are very concerned about whether there will be support from the United States, whether America will be the leader of the free world. I want to be honest with you, it is extremely important to our people that the American support and assistance remains.” – emphasized Zelensky.
He emphasized the need for a meeting with Trump as soon as possible to discuss guarantees of peace and security for Ukraine. According to him, the Ukrainian and American teams are already actively working on the economic agreement, which they plan to sign in Washington.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine and the United States can effectively cooperate on security guarantees for peace, but it is important that “all those who suffered from this war, all those who were affected by the war, all of them should be in the discussion.”
