Zelenskyy changed the composition of the delegation for negotiations with Russia in Istanbul

On the eve of the planned negotiations with the Russian Federation in Turkey, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi changed the composition of the Ukrainian delegation, increasing its number from 12 to 14 people. About this it is said in Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 359/2025.
According to the presidential decree, the delegation is still headed by Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov.
It includes:
- Oleksandr Bevz is an adviser to the head of the Office of the President
- Oleksandr Dyakov is the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Command of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
- Serhii Kyslytsia is the first deputy minister of foreign affairs
- Yuriy Kovbasa — representative of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights in the system of security and defense sector bodies (by consent)
- Georgy Kuzmychov is a protocol officer of the Apparatus for ensuring the official activities of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces
- Oleg Luhovskyi is the first deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service
- Yevhenii Ostryanskyi is the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
- Oleksandr Poklad is the deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine
- Vadym Skibitskyi is the deputy head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense
- Andrii Fomin — head of the international law department — deputy head of the international and operational law department of the Central Legal Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces
- Oleksiy Shevchenko is the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
- Oleksandr Sherikhov is a senior officer of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff
- Yevhen Shinkarev is the deputy chief of staff of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
We will remind, Oleksiy Malovatsky, who is not part of the delegation, took part in the negotiations on May 16. Instead, three new members appeared in its updated composition: Andriy Fomin, Yurii Kovbasa and Yevhenii Ostryanskyi. The meeting of the Ukrainian and Russian delegations is scheduled for June 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chiragan Palace, a five-star hotel in Istanbul.
