Zelenskyy implemented the NSDC decision to synchronize sanctions against Russia with international partners

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree by which entered the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine regarding the coordination of sanctions pressure on Russia with Ukraine’s international partners comes into force.
“In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decree: to put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated June 27, 2025 “On the synchronization of sanctions pressure by Ukraine, the European Union and other members of the “Group of Seven” on the Russian Federation and its related entities”, – says the decree.
According to the decision adopted on June 27, the NSDC decided that the sanctions implemented by the partner states should be synchronized in Ukraine by submitting them for review and approval by the NSDC no later than 15 days after the entry into force of the relevant international decision.
The Cabinet of Ministers and the SBU, together with the National Bank, are tasked with ensuring the full implementation of such sanctions within the jurisdiction of Ukraine. Also, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office are tasked with coordinating actions with the EU, the United States and other states regarding the sanctions applied by Ukraine in response to Russian aggression.
These measures should ensure “the most severe consequences for the Russian Federation for the criminal and unprovoked war waged against Ukraine and the subsequent tangible limitation of the military-industrial potential of the aggressor state.”
