Ukrainians trust the army the most, political parties the least: polls
The nationwide telephone survey was conducted between May 8 and 25, 2024.

Ukrainians trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelenskyi the most. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and political parties received the least trust. These are the results of a survey by the National Democratic Institute. Nationwide telephone poll was held from May 8 to 25, 2024.
One of the questions was: “To what extent do you trust such institutions and authorities, if you trust at all?”
Ukrainians trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine the most:
- 50% – “I trust a lot”
- 41% – “trust”
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, won 45% of the overall level of trust:
- 11% – “very trusting”
- 34% – “trust”
Next, the following were placed in the conditional trust rating:
- National Police
- The local authorities of the respondents
- Central Election Commission
- Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal
Ukrainians expressed the least trust in:
- Prosecutor General’s Office: 30% – both I trust and I don’t trust; 34% – do not trust; 10% – completely distrust
- Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: 31% – both trust and do not trust; 41% – do not trust; 15% – completely distrust
- Political parties: 37% – both trust and do not trust; 40% – do not trust; 11% – completely distrust
