Zelenskyy introduced Prosecutor General Kravchenko to the NSDC

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC). The relevant decision is contained in Decree No. 469/2025, made public on the website of the Office of the President.

“On partial amendment of Article 1 of the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated March 29, 2024 No. 193/2024 “On the composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine” (as amended by Decrees dated September 13, 2024 No. 627/2024, dated November 6, 2024 No. 751/2024, dated January 8, 2025 No. 20/2025, dated February 4, 2025 No. 63/2025 and February 7, 2025 No. 79/2025) to introduce Ruslan Andriyovych Kravchenko — Prosecutor General into the staff of the NSDC – specified in the document.

It will be recalled that on June 17, the Verkhovna Rada approved the candidacy of Kravchenko for the post of Prosecutor General, proposed by the president. Before that, he headed the State Tax Service. On June 21, Zelenskyi signed a decree on his appointment.

The previous Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin resigned in October 2024 amid investigations related to information that 50 prosecutors of the Khmelnytsky region were allegedly illegally granted disability status.
