Zelenskyy said he was not offended by Trump’s words about the “dictator”

Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that he is not offended by the fact that Donald Trump called him a “dictator”, and assured, which has no intention of becoming so.

“There is no room for emotion here. I have a pragmatic approach to relations with today’s US administration and will continue to do so. But, of course, I would not call these words of President Trump addressed to me as compliments, to put it mildly.

I understand it like this. But why be offended? Someone who is a dictator would be offended by the word dictator. And this is how I perceive it – well, what are you going to do, we will somehow live with the USA. We will definitely not be dictators. Just not interested.” – noted Zelensky.

According to him, during the last presidential elections in Ukraine, 73% of voters cast their votes for him, so his stay at the head of the state is completely legal:

“I am the legally elected president, I did not come to power because of any force. I was elected by 73%. By the way, no one appointed the parliamentarians who came at the same time either, the parliament was chosen by the people of Ukraine. After the end of martial law, there will be elections, and the people will make their choice.”
