Zelenskyy signed decrees on the appointment of new ambassadors

July 21, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed several decrees by which he appointed new ambassadors to a number of foreign countries, as well as permanent representatives of Ukraine to international organizations.

New ambassadors of Ukraine:

  • Austria – Yuriy Vitrenko,
  • Algeria – Oleksandr Voronin,
  • Angola – Andriy Kasyanov,
  • Belgium – Yaroslav Melnyk,
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina – Volodymyr Bachynskyi,
  • Georgia – Mykhailo Brodovych,
  • Estonia – Vasyl Boyechko,
  • Spain – Yulia Sokolovska,
  • Kazakhstan – Viktor Maiko,
  • Canada – Andriy Plahotniuk,
  • Kenya – Yuriy Tokar,
  • Cyprus – Serhii Nizhynskyi,
  • China – Oleksandr Nechitaylo,
  • Kuwait – Maxim Subh,
  • Lebanon – Roman Horyainov,
  • Malaysia – Hennadiy Nadolenko,
  • Mexico – Serhiy Pogoreltsev,
  • Moldova – Paun Rogovei,
  • The Netherlands – Andriy Kostin (ex-prosecutor general),

In addition, Alyona Hetmanchuk will head the Mission of Ukraine to NATO, and Andriy Melnyk will be the representative of Ukraine at the UN.

We will remind you that on the morning of July 21, the President of Ukraine held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga and representatives of the Office of the President. During the meeting, the process of selecting candidates for the positions of ambassadors of Ukraine was completed, after which the appointment of 16 diplomats was announced.
