In Kyiv, a deterioration in air quality was recorded: residents are asked to close windows
Deterioration of air quality was recorded in the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of Kyiv. About November 25 reported Kyiv City Military Administration.
As noted in the department, there is an increased concentration of suspended dust particles in these areas.
Average to high levels of pollution have been recorded at stationary air monitoring stations in Kyiv. The air quality index ranges from 18 to 82. The worst condition was recorded at the point located on 7/1 Kharkiv highway (Dniprovskyi district), the best – at Turivska Street, 28 (Podilskyi district).
As explained in KMVA, the general index is formed automatically based on indicators of several main pollutants. The lower the value, the better the air quality.
In case of a high level of air pollution, doctors advise to limit being outside, close windows indoors, avoid physical exertion outdoors and drink plenty of fluids. These measures will help minimize the impact of harmful particles on the body, which is especially important for people with chronic diseases of the respiratory system.
