The German technology company «Helsing», specializing in defense development, announced the production of 6,000 HX-2 attack drones for transfer to Ukraine. This decision is a continuation of the previous contract for 4,000 HF-1 strike drones, which are already being delivered to Ukraine. About this informs the press service of the company.
The HX-2 model, which was introduced in late 2024, is an X-wing high-precision barrage munition with an electric drive and a range of up to 100 km. The main advantage of the new drone is improved artificial intelligence, which ensures full resistance to electronic warfare (EW).
One of the key features of the HX-2 is the ability to work as part of the Helsing Altra reconnaissance-strike complex. This allows several drones to be combined into a swarm that can be controlled by a single operator, which greatly increases the effectiveness of attacks.
The HX-2 is designed for mass production with a lower unit cost compared to conventional combat systems. This makes it the optimal solution to fill the gaps in modern land warfare.
