“1000 Days of Freedom”: the premiere of the film of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine today at the telethon (video)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announced the screening of the documentary film “1000 Days of Freedom”, its premiere will be available on November 19 at 5:25 p.m. on the live broadcast of the national telethon “Yedini Novyni”.

The title of the film contains the idea of ​​unceasing struggle and unshakable stability of Ukrainian society, which strives to win over the Russian aggressor due to an indomitable desire for freedom. The documentary “1000 Days of Freedom” reveals the story of the strength of spirit, endurance and courage of the Ukrainian people.

In the center of the plot, the destinies of five heroes are shown, who dedicate their lives to the struggle for freedom and the future of the country every day.

A policewoman from Irpen, even in the most difficult times of the war, remains on guard for order and protection of citizens. She continued on duty at the start of the full-scale invasion, but was forced to leave Irpin on 5 March to save her life and that of her son. After that, another terrible tragedy befell her – the Russian occupiers brutally took the lives of her parents, but she continues the struggle, inspiring everyone around her.

A sniper from the National Guard of Ukraine, for him every shot means a fight for life, freedom and justice. In March 2022, he suffered serious injuries to his head, neck and spine during intense shelling of his positions. Thanks to numerous operations, long-term treatment and exhausting rehabilitation, the sniper, known by the nickname “Syvy”, found the strength to fulfill his duty, continuing to defend the country.

Rescuer of the State Emergency Service, from the border town of Krasnopill, in Sumy Oblast, where he works every day under constant fire, risking his own life to save others. In the film, he shared a touching personal story: he once received a call that a shell had hit near his home, where his wife and child were at the time. This event became a test of his strength and also added even more determination.

A border guard for whom every day on duty is a test of endurance. He knows firsthand what war and Russian aggression are, because he previously served in the ATO zone. He met the beginning of a full-scale invasion in Boryspil. The soldiers of the DPSU armed themselves to protect the airport, and passengers were evacuated from the airport at that moment.

An officer of the Azov brigade – “Arn”, on his 25th birthday he experienced something that you would not wish even on an enemy – he was captured, where he spent two and a half years in difficult conditions of captivity. The fighter with the call sign “Arn” was released from Russian captivity only this year, in September. Despite all the demands, humiliations and physical tests, he kept his strength, spirit and unshakable faith in Ukraine. Today, “Arn” continues to fight for its country and its fellow citizens.
