23 people died as a result of fake alcohol poisoning in Istanbul

In the Turkish city of Istanbul, over the past three days, 23 people have died due to poisoning with adulterated alcohol, and dozens more have been injured. About this informs Phoenix News.
Over the past 2 days, 68 people who were poisoned by counterfeit alcohol have turned to hospitals. 23 deaths were recorded. The incidents happened in several areas of the city, including Bagjilar, Bahcelievler, Bakirkoy and Başakşehir.
“We believe that those who cause the deaths of dozens of our citizens by producing or selling counterfeit alcohol are no different from the terrorists who kill our people. Our fight against scoundrels who encroach on the lives of our people for their material gain will continue unabated, as it was until today” – said the city governor.
The city authorities have already closed 63 enterprises involved in the sale of adulterated alcohol. The government has announced that the licenses of such entities will be revoked, and administrative measures will be taken against those whose products do not meet standards.
