Trump’s inauguration was moved to the Capitol building due to the Arctic wind

The inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump, scheduled for January 20, will be held indoors due to adverse weather conditions. This is about Trump reported on his social network Truth Social.

He explained that Washington was under the threat of an arctic wind that could cause a record drop in temperature. In this regard, it was decided to move the ceremony to the rotunda of the Capitol.

“I don’t want people to get hurt or injured in any way. These are dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of law enforcement officers, first responders, police officers and even the horses, as well as the hundreds of thousands of supporters who will be out on the streets for many hours “, – explained Trump.

The President recalled that the last time the Capitol Rotunda was used for the inauguration was in 1985 during the inauguration of Ronald Reagan. After the inauguration, Trump plans to watch the presidential parade with the public at Capital One Arena.

Other events remain unchanged, including the Victory Rally at Capital One Arena scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 p.m. (check-in begins at 1:00 p.m.) and three inaugural balls on Monday night.
