About 37 thousand Ukrainians received 130 thousand rehabilitation aids in 2025: Ministry of Social Policy

As part of the state prosthetics program, during the first four months of 2025, about 37,000 Ukrainians received 130,000 rehabilitation aids for a total of over 1.5 billion hryvnias. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
The largest number of such facilities was provided in Zhytomyr region — 10,345 units for 2,860 people. In Dnipropetrovsk region, 10,084 funds were issued to 2,798 recipients, in Lviv region, 9,781 funds were issued to 2,789 people. Also, significant amounts of assistance were recorded in Kharkiv (8,707 facilities, 2,407 persons), Vinnytsia (8,491 facilities, 2,602 persons) and Ternopil (8,420 facilities, 2,253 persons) regions.
“The state is doing everything possible to ensure that every person who needs it receives the necessary modern free support to return to a fully active life. The state prosthetics program provides not only for obtaining high-quality prostheses and other means of rehabilitation, but also services for their repair, replacement and maintenance. And for us it is very valuable and important that all people – civilians or military – who need appropriate assistance for recovery, receive it in a timely and high-quality manner.” – noted Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 1,200 people with disabilities have used the service for repairing assistive devices. In total, almost 1,500 units of technical products were repaired, for which about 52 million hryvnias were allocated from the state budget.
In order to receive a prosthesis or other rehabilitation tool, you need to submit a corresponding application online through the Social Portal of the Ministry of Social Policy. The service is available to those who have passed the assessment of daily functioning by expert teams of ECOPFO. You can also apply in person to the nearest TsNAP, social protection bodies or territorial divisions of the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities.
