Ukraine has updated the criteria for agricultural enterprises that are critical for the economy

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has updated the criteria for determining enterprises that can receive the status of critical importance in agriculture. About this reported press service of the ministry.

In order for an enterprise to be recognized as critically important, it must meet certain requirements. Among the main conditions are cultivation of more than 500 hectares of agricultural land, annual income of at least 20 million hryvnias and payment of taxes in the amount of at least 324 thousand hryvnias for the previous reporting quarter.

It is also taken into account whether the main activity of the enterprise meets the criteria specified in the order, whether it is under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as whether it is fully state-owned. Particular attention is paid to enterprises involved in the transfer of state lands through auctions, particularly in the context of subleasing.

Businesses applying for this status must provide documentary evidence of income, taxes and contributions for the last reporting period. The changes are aimed at increasing the transparency of the process of identifying critical market participants.
