After May 28, some employees may lose the right to reservation from mobilization: Ministry of Economy
In Ukraine, some workers may lose their right to reservation from mobilization after May 28, 2025. About this it is said in the official letter of the Ministry of Economy No. 27-11/37509-07.
The reason for the possible cancellation of the reservation is a large-scale inspection conducted by the Ministry of Economy regarding the compliance of enterprises with the status of critical importance. Reservations are granted to employees of such enterprises as an official reprieve from mobilization to ensure the uninterrupted operation of key sectors of the economy or defense.
At the same time, this status is not indefinite and can be canceled in several cases – after the expiry of the validity period, the loss of the status of critical importance by the enterprise, or the termination of the supply of goods or services to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ministry of Economy calls on all companies that have or claim this status to submit the required package of documents by May 28 to the e-mail address meconomy@me.gov.ua.
Among the mandatory documents:
- an extract from the DPS information system regarding settlements with the budget and funds for the period from January 1 to April 30, 2025;
- confirmation of activity in at least three regions — in particular, through documents on ownership or lease of real estate where branches or divisions are located.
If the company does not submit a complete package of documents, it can lose the status of critical importance along with the right to reservation, which will automatically make its workers available for mobilization on a general basis.
Companies with branches in several areas require the most attention – they should especially carefully confirm the scope of their activities. To maintain personnel stability and avoid personnel losses, enterprises must carefully comply with all requirements of the Ministry of Economy and provide all necessary information in a timely manner.
