Aid to Ukraine contributes to the development of the latest military equipment in Finland
The fact that Finland, as part of military aid, provides Ukraine with equipment from the list of the latest weapons, contributes to the development of the country’s defense sector and technologies. This was told by the head of the Department of Military Economy of the Defense Forces of Finland, Mikko Heiskanen comments for local media.
In particular, it is about assistance in testing new models of equipment.
“Not only old samples of defense equipment that were stored in warehouses are sent to Ukraine. We also ship samples of the latest innovations of the Finnish defense industry, some of which are still under development.”, – noted Mikko Heiskanen.
According to him, Finnish weapons receive positive feedback from the Ukrainian military.
“The experience gained in Ukraine will be useful for the development of the latest Finnish equipment”, – says the head of the Department of Military Economy of the Defense Forces of Finland.
Mikko Heiskanen believes that the production capacity of the country’s defense complex can be used for the production of weapons for Ukraine. However, this requires adequate funding and the political will of the Finnish authorities.
