Representatives of Russia and the United States will meet in Istanbul on February 27

On February 27, a meeting of representatives of Russia and the USA will take place in Istanbul, during which, in particular, the issue of resuming the work of embassies will be discussed. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serhii Lavrov.

“The meeting of the representatives of Russia and the USA on the issue of the work of the embassies will take place on February 27 in Istanbul”Lavrov said.

He also noted that the issue of frozen Russian assets “will not disappear” from the agenda of negotiations regarding Ukraine. Lavrov added that any possible actions against these assets will not go unanswered by the Russian Federation.

In addition, he expressed the position of the Kremlin, stating that “it is impossible to go to agreements that will involve the repeated pumping of weapons to Ukraine.”

At the same time, the White House expects that Donald Trump’s meetings with Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Vladimir Putin will take place “very soon.”
