Organizers of illegal crossings to EU countries charge Ukrainians an average of 10,000-12,000 dollars per person. About this told spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko.
“As a rule, the average price for such a dangerous trip is about 10-12 thousand dollarsDemchenko said.
For this considerable amount of money, Ukrainians are forced to overcome serious dangers. One of the most dangerous ways to cross the border is through the Tisza River, where the risk of death is extremely high.
“Organizers often put people’s lives at risk. For example, sometimes up to eight people are put on a two-seater inflatable boat and forced to swim across the dangerous Tisza River“, added the spokesperson of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
According to him, this is where the most tragic cases were recorded, when people tried to cross the border, regardless of the risk to their lives.
We would like to remind you that according to the State Border Service of Ukraine (SPSU), since February 24, 2022, about 14,600 conscripts who tried to leave the country illegally were detained.
