Over 3,000 new companies: how foreigners develop business in Ukraine during the war
Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, foreigners from 101 countries have founded 3,075 companies. Among the most active entrepreneurs are citizens of Turkey, who opened 396 companies, Uzbekistan – 312 companies, and Poland – 224 companies. About this informs “Opendatabot” platform.
About half of new companies with foreign owners are registered in Kyiv, where 1,517 businesses appeared. The leaders in the capital are citizens of Uzbekistan, who have opened 175 enterprises.
In second place was the Lviv region with 460 new businesses, of which the largest number were created by Polish citizens – 105 companies.
Rounding out the top three is the Odesa region, where 273 companies were registered, and the most active were citizens of Turkey, who opened 99 enterprises.
The fields in which foreigners most often open businesses in Ukraine include wholesale trade – 30.7%, real estate transactions – 6.7%, and computer programming – 5.8%.
