Ukrainian business associations, in particular Diia.City United, the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (UU), the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine and CEO Club Ukraine, actively supported the initiative to introduce a clear mechanism for the economic reservation of employees for a wider range of companies.
The corresponding position was voiced in the joint statements six business associations of Ukraine. Their key goal is to ensure the smooth functioning of business during wartime, which will save jobs and ensure stable revenues to the state budget, which finances the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The business emphasizes that economy booking should become an additional tool to the already existing system that operates for mission-critical enterprises. Associations have warned against the possible cancellation of the current reservation mechanism, as it could destabilize key processes in critical sectors of the economy, threatening its stability.
The statement says that the reservation mechanism should be clear, understandable and stable. Frequent changes in the rules every three months lead to uncertainty and complicate the work of critical industries and services.
Business associations appeal to the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the President’s Office with a request to pay attention to their proposals and to promote the implementation of this mechanism, which will become an additional tool for business interaction with the state, ensuring economic stability.
According to business representatives, the implementation of such an approach will allow enterprises to work non-stop, avoid mass layoffs, and also increase Ukraine’s export opportunities during the war. It will also help stabilize the economy and meet the needs of the army.
The Ministry of Economy is currently working on the criteria for the introduction of the economic reservation mechanism, which is planned to be launched in October-November, with a focus on the level of salaries in companies.
