In Ukraine, they are planning to launch a new “ePotential” program, which will automate the process of transition of patients from medical care to receiving social support. About this reported Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
According to Minister Oksana Zholnovich, the program will be implemented as part of the development of a new model of social insurance and rehabilitation sick leave. “ePotential” will allow providing social assistance already during treatment, combining the work of all necessary services to ensure comprehensive support of patients.
“We are introducing new types of services, developing unified state standards and forming an open market. To date, 3,672 social service providers have already been registered”, – said the official.
Deputy Minister of Social Policy Kostyantyn Koshelenko noted that in order to implement “ePotential” the work of two systems will be combined: the Electronic Health Care System (EHS) and the Unified Information System of the Social Sphere (EEISSS). In the EHOZ, the doctor will assess the patient’s life limitations and develop a rehabilitation plan, and then these data will be automatically transferred to the EISSS for further social assessment and support.
“This is only part of the picture, because we will definitely unite with the systems of other state authorities, which will help to additionally involve people in the processes of leisure, physical education, sports, and employment more widely than the two ministries (Ministry of Social Policy and Ministry of Health – IF-U )”, – he concluded.
