Disposal of missiles and ammunition in Ukraine will be carried out under a simplified procedure

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has simplified the procedure for the disposal of missiles, ammunition and explosives, allowing the use of mobile complexes for disposal directly in areas where demining operations are carried out. About this reported representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
Changes have been made to improve the efficiency of the disposal process for ammunition and other explosive items that are removed during demining. Thanks to this, mobile disposal complexes will be able to work directly in the places where demining works are carried out, which will significantly speed up the process of disposal of dangerous objects.
Since the beginning of the year, 17 new models of demining equipment have been commissioned for the Defense Forces of Ukraine, 5 of which are Ukrainian-made. This significantly increases the country’s capabilities in ensuring security in the liberated territories.
In addition to humanitarian risks, the presence of mines and explosive remnants of war causes significant damage to Ukraine’s economy. According to a report prepared by the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change in conjunction with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, mined areas cause annual GDP losses of $11.2 billion, which is approximately 5.6% of the country’s pre-war GDP.
