Era of digital changes: electronic veteran’s certificate to replace paper documents in Ukraine

In Ukraine, veterans and combatants will be able to use an electronic ID card instead of a paper one. About this reported Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
The veteran’s electronic ID will be the main document that will be available in the “Diya” application. This decision was made with the aim of simplifying veterans’ access to public services and benefits.
Deputy Minister of Veteran Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Malakhov noted that there is a great demand among veterans for digitization of such documents. This will greatly facilitate their interaction with state institutions. Now, veterans will be able to get all the necessary services with the help of a smartphone without any problems, instead of carrying paper documents with them.
From now on, there will be no need to issue or carry a physical ID – all this will be replaced by a digital format available on a mobile phone. In addition, the introduction of an electronic certificate will avoid possible problems related to the loss or damage of paper documents.
The electronic document will be recognized by all government agencies, as well as private institutions that provide services to veterans. In Diya, the certificate is automatically synchronized with state registers, which guarantees its relevance and reliability.
We will remind you that the Ministry of Veterans Affairs is actively implementing digital services to make life easier for defenders and their families.
