Ukraine and Sweden will jointly produce an analogue of Starlink

The Ukrainian company Stetman concluded an agreement with the Swedish company Requtech regarding the licensed serial production of satellite terminals for the OneWeb (LEO) and Intelsat (GEO) platforms, which are an analogue of Starlink. About this reported CEO Statment Dmytro Stetsenko.
“Today a significant event took place – the company Statment (Ukraine) signed an agreement with the company Requtech (Sweden) on the licensed serial production of advanced satellite terminals for platforms (LEO) and Intelsat (GEO) in Ukraine”, – said Stetsenko.
These are flat terminals that are similar in operation to the Starlink automotive systems from Starmod and Intellian OneWeb and use satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO).
“Thanks to this, Ukraine will have not only alternatives to Starlink, to which we are sincerely grateful for timely technological support and with which we will continue cooperation, but also its own production of satellite equipment.” – Stetsenko explained.
According to him, first of all, this will allow to satisfy the domestic demand, and later – to open opportunities for export in order to strengthen the European satellite infrastructure.
We will remind that on April 3, Poland handed Ukraine an additional 5,000 Starlink terminals to ensure reliable communication in medical institutions, educational institutions and critical infrastructure facilities.
