Erdogan made a statement regarding the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the return of Crimea

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a video message to the participants of the 4th Summit of the Crimean Platform, confirmed his unwavering support for Ukraine in the struggle to restore its territorial integrity. He emphasized that Turkey has always stood by international law and called for the return of Crimea under Ukrainian sovereignty.

As reported by Anadolu Agency, the President of Turkey emphasized the importance of restoring justice in the international arena and reminded that Ankara has never recognized the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia. According to Erdogan, the illegal annexation only deepened the problems in the region, especially for the Crimean Tatar people.

“Turkey sincerely wishes to end the war with a just and lasting peace based on the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine”, – said Erdogan.

The President also expressed his satisfaction with the legal initiatives implemented by the Ukrainian authorities to protect the rights of the Crimean Tatars, and emphasized that the Crimean Tatar people have the right to a peaceful life in their historical homeland.

Erdogan expressed gratitude to the organizers of the summit, in particular the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev, for their efforts in protecting the rights and freedoms of the Crimean Tatars and promoting the return of Crimea to the international arena.
