Oleksandr Prokudin, the 41-year-old head of the Kherson OVA, spoke about his salary, which he receives in a public position, in a new projects “Cities of Power”.
When the presenter Alina Shamanska asked how much he receives every month for his work, Prokudin hesitated a little with the answer. In the end, he announced a figure of 132-134 thousand hryvnias.
“132 thousand hryvnias, or 134 thousand hryvnias. Like. 122 thousand hryvnias? No, more. Last month I received a hundred and thirty or something. I had 122 for a long time and now it has changed, by 10 thousand more, because everyone’s salaries , as the accountant explained to me, they were raised all over Ukraine”, — replied Oleksandr Prokudin.
We will remind you that Oleksandr Prokudin is a native of Mykolaiv, who became the head of the Kherson OVA in February 2023 after serving in law enforcement agencies. After his appointment, residents of the region created a petition demanding his release, which gathered the required number of signatures.
The presenter also asked if Prokudin was offended by the petition. He replied that it really affected him, because he was doing his best to protect the city, ensure security and support the military.
“It was offensive, it was somehow embarrassing. I did everything possible and impossible to protect the city, to make more safe places, shelters, to help the military, etc. I did not betray myself”, – assured the official.
He also commented on the reason why he was accused of appointing his colleagues from the police. Prokudin explained that he actually hired only two people: one deputy and the chief of staff, among whom only one was a policeman.
