The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine searched the office and residence of Yury Golyk, known as the ideologue of the “Great Construction” project, in connection with suspicion of corruption schemes.
Yuriy Golyk, who used to be a consultant and as an adviser in state structures, in particular, he cooperated with the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration Valentyn Reznichenko, became the object of investigative measures after a series of journalistic investigations.
Golyk was also associated with the company “Budinvest Engineering”, whose co-founder is the fitness trainer Yana Hlanta, which became the subject of journalistic investigations.
The main aspect of the investigation is the detection of possible corruption schemes related to construction and infrastructure projects initiated by Golyk. Journalists previously documented his connections with Valentyn Reznichenko, in particular, established that he was a consultant in the “Great Construction” project and played a key role in the preparation of infrastructure solutions and the spending of public funds
After this information was made public, the SAP and NABU started an investigation. Detectives searched, including the office of Yury Golyk.
In October 2023, journalists discovered that Golyk continues to visit Bankova, despite the scandal with the fitness trainer and spending billions on road repairs. Previously, the SBU and NABU exposed a high-ranking official of Ukrenergo for corruption. In the spring of 2022, he organized the purchase of bulletproof vests for employees of the energy company at an artificially inflated cost.
