Famous rock musician Ozzy Osbourne dies at 76

At the age of 76, the legendary musician Ozzy Osbourne, the frontman of the band Black Sabbath, passed away. His death came just weeks after his farewell concert and reunion with the band. This was reported by the musician’s family, informs The Independent.
“It is with more sadness than words can tell that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask that everyone respect our family’s privacy at this time.”, says the official message.
The musician’s farewell show took place on July 5 in Birmingham, the city where his musical career began. Ozzy Osbourne became a legend on the world stage as the frontman of the iconic British band Black Sabbath, the author of the hits Iron Man, Paranoid, War Pigs, Crazy Train and Changes.
Ozzy Osbourne, whose full name is John Michael Osbourne, was born on December 3, 1948 in Birmingham, Great Britain, in the family of a worker. From a young age, he was fond of music, although he had difficulties in learning and a difficult character. After a short stay in prison, he decided to change his life — together with Tony Iommi and other musicians, he created the Black Sabbath band, which became a pioneer of the heavy metal genre.
After leaving the band in 1979, Osbourne embarked on a successful solo career, releasing a string of iconic albums and building a reputation as an artist with a provocative style. He later became a TV star, founded the music festival Ozzfest and won numerous awards including Ivor Novello, NME Godlike Genius, Classic Rock Living Legend and five Grammy Awards from 12 nominations. His name is engraved on the Star of Fame in Hollywood.
In 2022, Ozzy Osbourne expressed his support for Ukraine after Russia launched a full-scale invasion. Together with his wife Sharon, they provided shelter to several Ukrainian families at their estate in Buckinghamshire. The performer also released a new album, visualized in blue and yellow, thus showing his support for Ukraine.
