Прем’єр-міністр Молдови Дорін Речан доручив уряду розпочати процес підготовки до націоналізації газової компанії “Молдовагаз”, половина акцій якої належить російському “Газпрому”. Про це повідомляє Reuters. Речан доручив міністру юстиції розробити законодавчі зміни, які дозволять реалізувати цей крок. Наразі 50% акцій “Молдовагаз” належать “Газпрому”, ще 13% — підконтрольному Росії Придністров’ю, а 35,6% перебувають у власності уряду Молдови. “Ми повинні діяти в стратегічних секторах. До речі, ці об’єкти в нас теж колись відібрали. І ми повинні повернути їх у державну власність”, – зазначив Речан, посилаючись на структуру власності, яка існувала на момент створення компанії у 2013 році. Раніше “Газпром” заявив про припинення поставок газу до молдовського Придністров’я з 1 січня 2025 року через “невиконання платіжних зобов’язань”. Російська компанія 28 грудня надіслала офіційне повідомлення “Молдовагаз” про свій намір, звинувативши компанію у “регулярному невиконанні умов контракту”. Прем’єр-міністр Молдови засудив це рішення, наголосивши, що країна готова впоратися з будь-якими викликами, які можуть виникнути через дії Кремля. Він також не виключив звернення до міжнародного арбітражу, щоб вирішити ситуацію. Речан підкреслив, що Молдова вже працює над диверсифікацією джерел постачання енергоносіїв і здатна забезпечити свої потреби навіть у разі припинення поставок з Росії.

Rechan instructed the Minister of Justice to develop legislative changes that would allow this step to be implemented. Currently, 50% of Moldovagaz shares belong to Gazprom, another 13% to Russian-controlled Transnistria, and 35.6% are owned by the Moldovan government.
“We must act in strategic sectors. By the way, these objects were also taken from us once. And we must return them to state ownership.” – noted Rechan, referring to the ownership structure that existed at the time of the company’s creation in 2013.
Earlier, Gazprom announced the suspension of gas supplies to Moldova’s Transnistria from January 1, 2025 due to “non-fulfillment of payment obligations”. On December 28, the Russian company sent an official notice to “Moldovagaz” about its intention, accusing the company of “regular non-fulfillment of the terms of the contract.”
The Prime Minister of Moldova condemned this decision, stressing that the country is ready to deal with any challenges that may arise due to the actions of the Kremlin. He also did not rule out recourse to international arbitration to resolve the situation. Rechan emphasized that Moldova is already working on diversification of energy supply sources and is able to meet its needs even if supplies from Russia stop.
